I've re-designed my cover from
Dead Links once again, and it's a much bigger change this time. My old cover was based on free images, but I finally decided to invest in some stock photos from Shutterstock. I got rid of the spider, which is very symbolic if you've read the novel, but I think was too ambiguous. I replaced it with blood which is not ambiguous at all. I also added eyes, because I wanted to convey the African American female heroine. I think it makes a huge difference.

What do you think of the new cover? Let me know in the comments.
It looks great! I'm always messing with my book covers too. I think I have changed them five times. One of the pros to being self published, you can change your covers anytime you want!
ReplyDeleteI agree. Can't do that on the shelves
DeleteI like the new one better as well!
ReplyDeleteI does convey the book's essence better.
ReplyDeleteGlad you agree, thanks
Delete*IT does...
ReplyDeletemore interesting, now i would let the spider dangle off to the left side, more of a shadow...
ReplyDeleteNot a bad idea, I'll try that
DeleteThe cover is chilling! Dripping blood always gives me the heebies.
