100-Word Scifi: "Whispers and Booze"

Homeless; Source: stock.xchng
Every week, I write a 100-word story based on a random word. This week's random word is "paper bag."

Whispers and Booze
by Nigel G. Mitchell

Olivia Carter watched the old man shuffle out of the coffee shop. "What do you think Old Zeke's got in that paper bag he carries everywhere?"

Frank Stokes shrugged as he filled another cup. "Who cares? Probably booze."

Outside, Zeke muttered to himself as he turned into an alley. Zeke looked around to make sure no one saw him before holding up and climbing into his paper bag.

Inside, Zeke climbed through a glowing portal into the bridge of his spaceship. He connected his wrist computer to the main computer to upload his recorded statements, the day's research on Earth.
