100-Word Scifi: "No Peace"

No Peace
By Nigel G. Mitchell

The reporter continued, "The jury decided that destroying a robot cannot be considered murder. For this reason, the jury has declared Officer Reginald Greer and Sergeant Jesus Salvadore not guilty."

QT-41 turned away from the screen to face the other robots gathered around the news hologram to watch. They all saw the same thing in each other's retinal scanners.

QT-41 picked up a garbage can and threw it through the nearest store window. It shattered, triggering screams. Before the broken glass hit the ground, more robots had already stormed the other shops, bringing destruction in the city streets.
